Flapjacks Strain Review (In House Genetics)

When I first came across the Flapjacks marijuana strain, the name instantly piqued my curiosity. I imagined something sweet and breakfast-likeโ€”and surprisingly, this Indica-dominant hybrid lived up to that fantasy.

Developed by In House Genetics, Flapjacks is the flavorful child of Macflurry and Pancakes, and trust me, the name isnโ€™t just for marketing. Whether youโ€™re into rich dessert strains or looking for something to knock you out on the couch, this oneโ€™s a standout.

Hereโ€™s the weed strain information and all about my full experience trying Flapjacks for the first time.

flapjacks strain - appearance

Appearance: 4.5/5

The buds were simply gorgeous. Fluffy and dense with frosty trichomes, they looked like they were dusted with powdered sugar. Shades of olive green and deep purple were accented by vibrant amber hairs curling through each nug.

Moisture content was right where I like itโ€”sticky but grindable, and fresh out of the jar. It definitely had โ€œpremiumโ€ written all over it in terms of visual appeal.

Aroma: 4/5

Opening the container, I was hit with a sweet, syrupy aroma with hints of creamy berry and vanilla. It smelled like a pancake breakfast soaked in maple syrup and fruit compote.

Beneath that sweetness, a subtle earthiness and touch of spice from caryophyllene gave the bouquet some depth. It wasnโ€™t overly pungent, but it had a cozy richness that lingered nicely in the nose.

Flavor: 4.5/5

Flavor-wise, Flapjacks taste didnโ€™t disappoint. The inhale brought a smooth, doughy sweetness, almost like biting into a blueberry pancake with a dollop of whipped cream. On the exhale, a faint peppery finish and herbal undertones rounded things out.

The smoke was ultra-smoothโ€”no harsh coughing or throat burnโ€”and the aftertaste was satisfyingly creamy. This is definitely one for the dessert strain lovers, the ones who love the blueberry taste.

Effects: 4.5/5

This is where Flapjacks really shines. About ten minutes after my first few hits, I felt a creeping wave of calm wash over me. It wasnโ€™t overwhelming, but rather a slow melt into the couch. My limbs felt heavy, and my head was light.

Mentally, I was euphoric and a bit giggly. Eventually, I found myself lost in my thoughtsโ€”and then in my snacks. Flapjacks is ideal for evenings when you want to completely unwind, watch a movie, or crash early. Novices should tread lightly, though; that 28% high THC cap can be deceptively strong.

Overall: 4.5/5

Flapjacks by In House Genetics is a delicious, heavy-hitting Indica-dominant strain with fantastic aesthetics and a rich flavor profile. Itโ€™s not the loudest in terms of smell, but it more than makes up for it with smooth smoke and a body-melting high.

Iโ€™d recommend this for experienced users looking for a flavorful nighttime strain to ease stress, promote sleep, or just feel pleasantly dazed.

โ—Peanut Butter MAC Strain: A rich, nutty-flavored strain with similarly sedating effects, but with a more earthy aroma and slightly more psychedelic high.

โ— Rainforest Crunch Strain: Leans more subtle on flavor but offers body relaxation with a unique herbal and citrus aroma.

โ— Tiger Cake Strain: This one leans heavier into vanilla dessert territory. It comes on fast and hard, making it a stronger, quicker alternative for nighttime use.
