Mandarin Cookies Strain Review (Tremblant Cannabis)
For this cannabis strain review, I decided to take a bite out of some Mandarin Cookies made by Laurentian Organic under the Tremblant Cannabis brand. The folks at Laurentian Organic keep an open dialogue with me and shared some interesting details for consumers.
They told me that anything under the Tremblant Cannabis brand is not grown organically. It is machine-trimmed first and then hand-trimmed at the end, which is how they kept this Mandarin Cookies under $8/gram, unlike the flower sold under their original LP name.
This is sold as a Sativa-dominant hybrid. This batch's label showed mid-range THC and an insignificant amount of CBD. Below is an in-depth breakdown.

A note on numbers: THC and CBD percentages and terpene profiles vary by grower and batch, so treat the details here as one sample and check the label on the product you buy. We could not confirm the lineage on an official breeder page, so we left it out.
This product was bought legally in Quebec, where adults 21 and older can buy from government-operated stores. In the US, marijuana is still a Schedule I drug under federal law outside narrow 2026 exceptions for FDA-approved and state-licensed medical products, and state laws differ.

Visually, this Mandarin Cookies came with some bag appeal. There were only 2 nugs, a big one weighing 2.2 grams and a medium one, and the total came to 3.67 grams, which is always a plus.
Laurentian Organic also told me they don't sell nugs smaller than a quarter; they use the smaller buds for hash. The flower was cone-shaped and bright green with purple hues and dark orange pistils.
It was a little too dry for my liking at 52% RH in the container, especially after only 6 days in the package. The trim was also not the best, hence the average score.
Aroma: 2.5/5
The terps weren’t very lively when I first opened the container, and the dryness didn't help. There were hints of fruity, tangy scents, but it was mostly muted, so I put it in a jar with a Boveda pack for 24 hours to bring it up to about 60% RH.
The smell was stronger after that, with more tanginess and earthy, somewhat chocolaty notes. The average grade is because I want that aroma right away without having to rehydrate the flower myself.
Flavor: 2.5/5
There were some slight fruity flavors on the inhale, with a little tanginess and earthiness left on the palate after the exhale, but it was very minimal. The smoke was smooth, but the flavor doesn't make you feel like you're biting into a mandarin cookie.
Effects: 4.5/5
For me, this was euphoric and energizing, a good daytime high (unlike Purple Berry, which I felt had a dampening effect on my energy levels).
It got me focused on the task at hand and kept the conversation going when I was just chilling. Effects vary by person, and NIDA notes that cannabis can impair thinking and memory, so don't drive after using it.
I enjoyed it a lot and finished it quicker than I expected!

Even though this Mandarin Cookies is not as good as the other 3 products that I’ve tried from Laurentian Organic (Tremblant Kush Strain, Pink Kush, and Ethos Glue), this is still some pretty good flower, especially for the money. At $7.97/gram when I bought it, Tremblant Cannabis products are worth trying.
