Guava Bars Strain Review (Bloom Seed Co.)

guava bars strain - featured image

A combination of sweet and gassy, Guava Bars is a hybrid strain from Bloom Seed Co., a small breeder known for its hand-picked selection of high-quality cannabis. The strain is a cross of Biscotti and Guava’z #74, which are both known for being equally exceptional.

With a higher amount of THC than CBD, the Guava Bars Strain is a Sativa-dominant strain. It builds a slow-moving high that gradually brought me to euphoria. More than the effects, it also has exceptional color and appearance.

Read this Guava Bars Strain review as I share more of my experience.

Appearance: 4/5

Right off the bag, I noticed how spongy the buds are. They are hang-dried and hand-trimmed, which contributes to their exceptional appearance. The buds also have great trichome coverage.

It is deep green with hints of purple in the buds. Looking closely, I also noticed orange hairs, although they were not highly apparent from afar.

Aroma: 4.5/5

One of the most notable features of the Guava Bars Strain is its aroma. As I held it close to my nose, I immediately became excited about what was to come. It smelled how fresh the buds are, or I was only lucky with the batch I had.

The smell is a combination of tropical, creamy, berry, and woodsy. It seems like a lot is going on, but it was a great combination. However, if I’m being honest, I was expecting the guava component to be more apparent, but it was subtle.

Flavor: 4.5/5

Another thing worth highlighting in this Guava Bars Strain review is its excellent flavor. It was a dank strain with a sweet and sour taste. To make it more complex, there is also an element of diesel, which perfectly balances the sweet and fruity flavor.

The overall flavor is reminiscent of exotic fruits. Like the aroma, however, I thought that guava will be more evident. I’m not complaining though. It still has fruity flavors that are a treat to smoke.

Limonene is the dominant terpene in this strain. Hence, you can also taste citrus, lemon, and orange. Meanwhile, it also has traces of musk, pepper, and cinnamon.

Effects: 4.5/5

Given the top-notch flavor and aroma, it’s no longer surprising that it has exceptional effects. Being high in THC, I already had high expectations about the Guava Bars Strain. Thankfully, I was not disappointed after smoking.

It was not an immediate high. Rather, the effects were slow-moving. I was not in a hurry to feel anything, as I was only relaxing when I took this strain. After building up, however, I was euphoric and giddy. It was also uplifting, making me energetic. It’s not one of those strains that will put you to sleep.

With its effects, it can be a great choice for those who want to stay social and active when smoking. I had it with a small group of friends, and we had a nice conversation while enjoying the high.

Overall: 4.5/5

As I took the Guava Bars buds off the packaging, I was sure of one thing – it’s going to be an epic high. True enough, I was happy with its effects. It was slow to set, but when it kicked in, I felt the euphoria.

The aroma and flavor are a combination of sweet and creamy, which reminded me of tropical fruits. It makes the strain refreshing, and ideal to be taken during the day, especially if you are expecting social activities.

Alternatives

If you’re not a fan of the Guava Bars Strain, no worries. There are plenty of other alternatives, including the following:

  • Power Sherb Strain: It has a stronger guava flavor compared to the Guava Bars Strain. The flavor also has hints of berry, making it tropical.
  • GMO Cookies Strain: If you prefer something more relaxing, especially at night, this strain is a great alternative. This is unlike Guava Bars Strain, which makes you more energetic.
