For this cannabis strain review, I tried out “Planet of the Grapes” that’s produced by Hearst Organic under the Shelter Craft brand, this was a medical purchase from Shelter Market. This Indica-dominant cultivar came in with 15.36% THC and an inconsiderable amount of CBD.
The terpene percentage is completely ridiculous, 4.15%! If you checked out my past reviews you won’t even see such info because none of the weed I bought had it, plus that number is high! Below is an in-depth breakdown of this strain (this is a medical product).
- Lineage: Grape Diamonds x Chemdog
- Type: Indica
- Potency: 15.36% THC, inconsiderable amount of CBD
- Terpene Profile: Myrcene (2.17%), Caryophyllene (0.78%), Cederene (0.44%), Ocimene (0.23%), Humulene (0.19%).
- Packaging Details: Packaged on 02/04/2021, tested/reviewed on 03/05/2021, exactly 29 days later.
- Pricing Details: Purchased 3.5 grams from Shelter Market at $30.00 ($8.57/gram, there was a 25% discount for my first order, the usual price is $40.00 for 3.5 grams).

Appearance: 4/5
There were only two nugs in the bag, one weighed 2.2 grams, and we all love big nugs! The buds came out feeling sticky with some good moisture content at 52% RH.
The bag appeal was on point; the trim job was excellent, and the trichomes were intact. Overall this was some very pretty-looking well-grown weed!
Aroma: 5/5
Numbers don’t lie; these terpene percentages on this cultivar didn’t lie either. The terps literally jump out of the bag and hang on to your nostrils for dear life. The smell can fill up an entire apartment. It’s a little musky, a little citrusy, and a whole lot of grapey.
Smelling this flower is an experience in itself, and if the aroma is important to you, you will fall in love with this Planet Of The Grapes strain. (Unlike my experience with Strawberry Twist Strain, which was priced at $8.63/gram but lacked a pleasant scent altogether.)

Flavor: 4/5
The flavor on this Planet Of The Grapes is almost as intense as the aroma; it’s just slightly more muted. There’s still a whole lot of sweet grape mixed with sour citrus as soon as you inhale.
There’s a little bit of diesel floating around the palate on the exhale. This whole cultivar is quite explosive when it comes to taste. By the way, this strain name is excellent, just sayin’.
Effects: 3.5/5
The “entourage” effect is very real when it comes to the effects that this cultivar provides. Sure, we’ve tried weed with 15% THC which felt quite light; this was different. 2.17% of Myrcene is not a joke; the “high” gets you right behind your eyes from the first few puffs, don’t let the cannabinoid percentages fool you.
It goes from the brain throughout the body quite fast, and you start to feel quite stoned within 10 minutes. Eventually, we will stop using THC as something that represents quality.
Overall: 4/5
Just based on the way this weed smells, I’d recommend this to everybody. Putting your nose in one of these bags is an experience in itself. There should be air fresheners created from the terpene profile of this “Planet of the Grapes” cultivar.
This may have been the best-smelling flower I’ve tried so far.
I suggest you also look at my review of the Sensi Star Strain. Moreover, If you’ve tried some of this Planet of the Grapes, let me know what you thought of it in the comments below (please add pictures)!

- Purple Punch: This strain also has a grape flavor and aroma with relaxing effects, but it may have a more potent THC content than Planet of the Grapes.
- Grape God: This strain has a grape and citrus aroma with a mix of relaxing and euphoric effects. It may be a better value option compared to Planet of the Grapes.
