Rainforest Crunch Strain Review (Wagners)

If you’re looking for deep relaxation and pleasant euphoria, taking a cannabis strain with potent THC can be a good idea. The options abound, but in today’s review, I’ll share with you my experience using the Rainforest Crunch.

The Rainforest Crunch strain is a hybrid from Wagners, a company that takes pride in producing well-made weed. It’s a cross between Miracle Alien Cookies and Sunshine Melon. This strain is Indica-dominant, delivering full-body effects against the head high that you can expect from Sativa dominant strains.

Do you want to know more? Read this Rainforest Crunch Strain review and I’ll walk you through my experience after you’ve read the full breakdown of the strain below:

  • Lineage: Miracle Alien Cookies x Sunshine Melon
  • Type: Indica-dominant
  • Potency: 22-26% THC, 0-1% CBD
  • Terpene Profile: Caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene,
  • Packaging Details: Packaged on 03/10/2022, tested and reviewed on 03/24/2022 (14 days later)
  • Pricing Details: Purchased 3.5 grams for $34.99 at I ♥ Jane ($9.99 per gram)

Appearance: 3/5

The buds were predominantly forest green, although there are hints of dark purple. It’s frosty right out of the bag. It would have been nice overall, but I am not a fan of how dry it is. Such is a deal-breaker, as it immediately gave me a negative impression of the bud.

To counter the problem of dryness, I used a Boveda. I’ve been using the latter in dry buds to add a bit of humidity. It would add moisture to the buds, but sadly, even with Boveda, I’m still not a fan of this strain’s overall physical appearance.

Aroma: 3.5/5

Judging from the name of this strain, I was expecting something that will remind me of a rainforest. Imagine being in a place surrounded by lush greenery with crisp air blowing behind your back. Turns out, I had high expectations, and they were not met.

Spice, wood, and herbal are the dominant aromas in this weed strain. The latter did not surprise me, since I know that it contains caryophyllene as one of the main cannabis terpenes. More so, it has myrcene, providing subtle sweet and diesel aromas. Meanwhile, the presence of limonene contributed to its citrusy smell.

Flavor: 3.5/5

Like the aroma, the flavor is quite underwhelming. Vanilla and berries are apparent. While subtle, I also noticed black pepper, cinnamon, clove, mango, cinnamon, and citrus. These are because of the weed’s terpene profile.

When I smoked this strain, I was looking for something stronger. At first, I was hoping that it will get better later on, but to my disappointment, I was not able to get what I expected.

Effects: 4/5

I have a clear-headed cerebral and full-body high with this weed, but it’s not enough to make up for the underwhelming flavor and aroma. I was highly functioning but deeply relaxed after smoking the Rainforest Crunch.

I took it late in the afternoon. I’m not sure if it was because I was tired or if the weed is indeed relaxing. Nonetheless, the effects were pretty decent, which I imagine is something that most beginners will love.

Overall: 3.5/5

As I have noted in this Rainforest Crunch Strain review, this Indica-dominant hybrid was generally underwhelming. It was dry out of the box, which made me immediately unhappy. To add, the flavor and aroma are not as evident as I anticipated. Meanwhile, the effects are quite decent but not enough to make me want to try this weed again.

New smokers might love how subtle and smooth this strain is. However, experienced users might end up looking for more.

Alternatives

If the Rainforest Crunch Strain does not fit your requirements, here are other alternatives worth having on your radar:

  • Animal Face Strain: For something more potent, it’s hard to go wrong with this Indica-dominant strain. The high is mind and body numbing with a tingling sensation that slowly creeps throughout the body. It can also be a great pick if you want something to elevate your mood.
  • Planet of the Grapes: The aroma of this weed strain makes it a stand-out. It has a high terpene percentage, which is highly contributory to its impressive smell. The smell of the flower is already an experience in itself.
