Space Cake Strain Review (Color Cannabis)

Space cake strain

For this review, I will share with you my experience using Space Cake Strain, which is from Color Cannabis. It’s an Indica-dominant hybrid, which is a cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Snow Lotus. This hybrid strain has a very strong potency, with the THC reaching up to 28%.

When someone mentions space cake, the first thing that often comes to mind is a THC-rich edible that can make you high. In this Space Cake Strain review, however, we’re talking about a specific cannabis bud, which I recently had the pleasure of smoking.

  • Lineage: Girl Scout Cookies x Snow Lotus
  • Type: Hybrid
  • Potency: 22-28% THC,  0-2% CBD
  • Terpene Profile: Beta myrcene (.526%), limonene (.33%), beta-caryophyllene (.19%), linalool (.166%),
  • Packaging Details: Packaged on 12/16/2022, tested and reviewed on 12/28/2022 (12 days later)
  • Pricing Details: Purchased 3.5 grams for $27.51 at The Ontario Cannabis Store ($7.86 per gram)

Let’s dive in and let me share with you my experience.

Appearance: 4/5

The name itself is already enough to make me try this hybrid. Luckily, I was not disappointed. Let me start by talking about the packaging. It’s in an orange sealed bag with nothing special. After opening it, I was instantly impressed with the small green-shaped buds.

The buds are forest green, but I have also seen purple undertones. Meanwhile, it comes with burnt orange hairs and a trichome coating.

Aroma: 4/5

If you think it looks good, wait until you have the chance to smell it. Once you do, you’ll realize why it’s a favorite of many people. It has bright notes that are dominated by fruits and berries. Sweet and spicy notes are apparent if you smell the buds closely.

More so, expect to have cookie undertones. This is one thing that’s naturally expected since one of its parent strains is Girl Scout Cookies.

Those who are new to smoking weed, however, may have a slightly hard time figuring out the aroma because it’s complex. If you have a keen nose, it will be easy to be hooked. It is earthy and pungent with traces of sour fuel and nuts.

Flavor: 4.5/5

Unlike the aroma, the flavor is a lot less complicated but equally impressive. It’s reminiscent of spicy nuts and sweet fruits with notes of fresh herbs. I am also reminded of candies, cakes, and cookies, although they’re not as prominent as the flavors earlier mentioned.

Because it contains myrcene as one of the terpenes, which is the most dominant among the others, the flavor profile is slightly sweet.

Effects: 4.5/5

I would like to emphasize in this Space Cake Strain review that it’s an ideal option if you want something to hit at night. The effects start strong, which is ideal for socializing or for playing board games with friends. Eventually, however, it brings a deep state of relaxation.

It’s also quite nostalgic, reminding me of my early days of smoking weed. It’s best enjoyed with friends. After a while, the euphoric energy can transition into near sedation, and this is when you’ll feel stoned. I love that it does not make me feel groggy, so I see no problem even if I smoke it mid-day.

Smoking this strain is such a treat. It’s not heavy on the throat, which contributes to a pleasant overall experience.

Overall: 4.5/5

As I have highlighted in this Space Cake Strain review, this hybrid is a great option for everyone. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned smoker, it can deliver impressive effects. The flavor and aroma are also incredible, preparing your body for the euphoria and relaxation that this weed can eventually deliver.

Alternatives

The Space Cake Strain is notable, so I will definitely try it again. Nonetheless, if it isn’t available, or if you simply want something with the same quality, below are some alternatives worth looking at:

  • Platinum Gorilla Strain: A treat to the senses – that’s how I will describe this strain. The aroma and flavor are potent, contributing to a long-lasting effect, which will make you look forward to the next time you’re trying it.
  • Animal Face Strain: Earthy, sweet, and minty, this is an excellent alternative if you would rather have a Sativa-dominant strain.
