Spinach is a cannabis brand that I have some experience with, so after trying out their  White Widow,  Diesel, and Dancehall strains, it was only right that I write this Rockstar Kush strain review after sitting with it for a few days.
Unfortunately, this was not up to their usual standards whatsoever. This Indica-dominant cultivar was grown by Peace Naturals; the THC range is between 18% and 25%; this specific batch came in with  18.8% THC and an insignificant amount of CBD.
Below, I break down every aspect of this strain and explain why this whole experience felt somewhat disappointing.Â
Lineage: Rockstar x Bubba Kush Cross, grown by Peace Naturals
Terpene Profile: The dominant terpenes are myrcene, caryophyllene, and limonene.
Packaging Details: This was packaged on 06/22/2020 and tested/reviewed on 08/27/2020, exactly 66 days later. Lot# X92D01
Pricing Details: Purchased 3.5 grams for $27.00 at the SQDC in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. ($7.71/gram)

Appearance: 2/5
Although there were enough qualities to get this a score of two, something was missing in the bag appeal. All the buds were medium to small-sized, and the main issue is how empty they felt; the number of stems there were didn’t help the case either.
The trimming job was poorly done as well; I wasn’t impressed with the appearance whatsoever. The reason for the score is mostly due to the trichome glands I saw in the microscopic pics, which was kinda surprising. The RH% was at 54%, which was also a plus, almost where it needed to be.
Aroma: 1/5
The aroma was completely muted; it didn’t feel right. Just some slight herbal notes, as in it somewhat smelled like weed. Look at the lineage, though; I’m not sure if you guys tried some bubba kush before, but that diesel smell usually jumps out at you; that’s what I was expecting.
It smelled like weed that wasn’t harvested at the right time; I’m not a fan of dead terps.

Flavor: 1.5/5
I actually tasted the kush; unfortunately, it wasn’t powerful enough. The flavor was muted as well, just not as much as the aroma. Not much going on on the palate on the exhale; it wasn’t the smoothest smoke either because of the trimming job.
Effects: 3.5/5
This is probably the only aspect from this entire Rockstar Kush strain review that I somewhat enjoyed. The effects came in quickly before I even finished my joint. It went straight to the head and got my eyes heavy right away, taking the edge off instantly.
The peak lasted about 45 minutes; not very clear-headed but very giggly. I wouldn’t consume this in the morning or before doing something important; like many other Indica Kushes, this is a nighttime strain.
Overall: 2/5
This whole experience was pretty disappointing overall; it always felt like something was missing here. If somebody were to get the same quality as this, they wouldn’t come back for seconds.
This made me feel like the lead singer of a horrible garage band more so than a Rockstar; however, because of my past experiences with this Spinach brand, I will be giving this strain another chance in the future with hopes that they improved this Rockstar Kush.

Wow that’s what the rockstar Spinach used to look like? I wasn’t buying legal market at that time. Man, they have stepped up their game probably the most of any LP. Them and TGod.
