Pacific Seed Bank Review 2025: We’ve Seen Better…

With the legalization and acceptance of cannabis expanding across the globe, the demand for premium genetics has never been higher. For those seeking to embark on their own cannabis cultivation journey or refine their existing skills, selecting the right seed bank is paramount.

Among others, one option that you might see online is Pacific Seed Bank. Is it the right choice for you? Thereโ€™s only one way to answer that question. Read on and I will share my experience. Iโ€™ll also talk about what Iโ€™ve found out from other Pacific Seed Bank reviews to help you decide.

My Quick Pacific Seed Bank Review

Pacific Seed Bank has been in the business for over 20 years. It offers a selection of more than 150 cannabis strains. The website is intuitive and the prices are reasonable. Also, you can receive free replacement seeds if your order fails to meet the 90% guarantee of germination.

But, are these enough to consider buying from Pacific Seeds?

Unfortunately, there have been a lot of complaints about the seed bank. For instance, the customer service can be improved as itโ€™s quite slow. Also, the website does not feature a live chat.

Promos are also lackluster. The website does not have a dedicated page where you can find the latest deals. However, you can get three free marijuana seeds if you choose payment by mail.

Shipping is free only if your order is more than $500. Otherwise, youโ€™ll pay a flat fee of $9.95 for the U.S. and $30 for other countries.

A Look at the History of Pacific Seed Bank

With more than two decades of experience selling cannabis seeds, Pacific Seed Bank is backed by a group of knowledgeable and experienced individuals. Savvy businessmen, skilled horticulturists, and expert medical professionals are among the people running the company.

Unfortunately, nothing much is available online about the history of Pacific Seed Bank. Even their website and social media channels do not provide sufficient information regarding the companyโ€™s roots.

Today, however, the company has global operations. This extensive reach is one of its strongest suits. Nonetheless, it may not be the most reliable, as I will be talking about later on in this Pacific Seed Bank review.

Seed Selection & Quality

When choosing a seed bank, itโ€™s important to look at the available selections. Quantity is important, so you can have diverse options. Nonetheless, seed quality is more critical, making sure the marijuana seeds will germinate and thrive.

Pacific Seed Bank is home to more than 150 marijuana strains. These seeds are from in-house breeders in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

However, I have seen others with more diverse options. Herbies, for instance, has more than 1,500 strains. This is up to ten times higher compared to the available selection at Pacific Seed Bank.

Choose from Different Seed Categories

Like many of the other online seed banks I have reviewed, Pacific offers seeds available in different categories. The website provides a convenient way to filter the results, so you can easily find the ones most suitable for your needs and preferences.

On top of the website, youโ€™ll see two general categories – feminized seeds and auto-flowering seeds. You can also see the Top 5 picks for each category. More so, users can filter results based on the type of marijuana, THC levels, and plant height.

90% Guaranteed Germination

Itโ€™s frustrating when youโ€™re excited to harvest potent buds from your cannabis plant only to find out that the seeds do not germinate. Such will be a waste of money, time, and effort.

Pacific Seed Bank offers a 90% germination guarantee for your peace of mind. If not, then you can file a report and the company will ship free seeds.

The seed bank recommends using the water glass/paper towel method to achieve a higher seed germination rate. Itโ€™s not only easy to do, but it also does not require any complicated equipment. Hence, itโ€™s ideal even for beginners.

Before you file a claim for the germination guarantee, make sure to wait 14 days after planting. In addition, you need to provide proper documentation, including photos showing that the seed does not germinate.

While the 90% germination guarantee might sound like a good deal, take note that thereโ€™s one caveat. At least two of the seeds should have not germinated before you can lodge a complaint.

In addition, you need to pay the shipping fee. This will vary depending on your location.

Looking for a better deal? I am a big fan of how I Love Growing Marijuana offers a 100% germination guarantee. Now thatโ€™s one thing thatโ€™s hard to rival!

Pricing

Photo from Pacific Seed Bank

When buying cannabis seeds, price is a crucial consideration, especially for new growers and those on a budget. Most of the time, however, I donโ€™t mind paying a bit more if that means I can enjoy better seed quality.

The prices are reasonable, although itโ€™s not uncommon to find cheaper deals from other seed banks.

To illustrate the companyโ€™s pricing, letโ€™s look at an example. Letโ€™s say you want to buy White Widow Feminized Seeds. If youโ€™re buying from Pacific Seed Bank, the price is $99 for a pack of ten.

Meanwhile, Herbies has an insanely cheaper deal for the same strain. You can buy one pack of White Widow Feminized Seeds for only $52.7.

On the other hand, I Love Growing Marijuana (ILGM) has a slightly higher price. Ten White Widow Feminized Seeds are $119. Nonetheless, youโ€™ll get ten seeds free, which means that the price will end up being lower than Pacific Seed Bank.

Lastly, the price at MSNL is not far from what youโ€™ll find at Pacific Seed Bank. One pack with ten White Widow feminized marijuana seeds is available at $100.30.

Wholesale Pricing Is Available

Do you need to order in bulk?

If youโ€™re a commercial buyer, you can take advantage of wholesale discounts. However, the website does not explicitly identify what discounts you can qualify for. It states that you need to contact their wholesale division to know the rates.

Available Discounts and Promotions at Pacific Seed Bank

Iโ€™m always on the hunt for the best deals available, taking advantage of every opportunity to save money without compromising quality. Naturally, when I bought from Pacific Seed Bank, I was searching for discounts and promos.

Unfortunately, Pacific Seed Bank has lackluster promotions. Looking at their website, I did not see any promo banner. Some seed banks even have a dedicated page of deals, one thing youโ€™ll not find at Pacific Seed Bank.

As mentioned above, one of the rare instances when you can get a discount is if you buy in bulk. Also, as weโ€™ll talk about later, you can get three free cannabis seeds when your payment method is by mail.

Sign-Up Promo

If thereโ€™s one promo that you can take advantage of, it would be one that you will get upon signing up. Leave your email address and be among the first ones to know about the latest news, including exclusive deals.

By signing up for the newsletter, youโ€™ll get a 10% discount on cannabis seeds. You also stand the chance to win $100 worth of free seeds.

Customer Service

Unfortunately, Pacific Seed Bank has poor customer service. This is one area that can be significantly improved as itโ€™s often a source of frustration among buyers.

There are multiple ways by which you can get in touch with Pacific Seed Bank. They have a toll-free hotline at 1-844-480-733, available Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST.

Alternatively, you can email them at [email protected]

Nonetheless, live chat is unavailable. This would have been the easiest way to reach one of their customer service representatives, such as when you suspect inferior seed quality.

According to many Pacific Seed Bank reviews, reaching their agents is difficult. Many times, customers were waiting on hold. Whether you want to inquire about replacement seeds or have concerns about growing cannabis, itโ€™s unusual to wait for hours just to be able to talk to someone.

The same thing is true in the case of emails. Replies are frustratingly slow, with some people saying that it could take weeks before someone responds.

Upon sending an email for the first time, youโ€™ll receive an auto-generated reply. Then it usually takes a while before you get another email. It is common for buyers to have several follow-ups, and even with such, many are still left waiting in vain.

If you want to resolve the issue yourself, check out the FAQ section. It can answer some of your questions about placing an order, shipping, and germination. While it can be helpful, it would have been better if it was more comprehensive.

Website Experience

The website of Pacific Seed Bank is clean and simple, making it easy to navigate. When I tried it the first time, I immediately found what I was looking for. It was user-friendly with a seamless layout.

One of the first things youโ€™ll notice is the different seed categories, which is pretty standard with other seed banks as well. Aside from feminized and autoflowering marijuana seeds, thereโ€™s also a category for high CBD seeds.

If you scroll to the lower part of the website, you can see different seed banks and their logos. When you click on the icon, you will be taken to a page that contains the different seeds available from that specific seed bank.

I would have liked it better if there were more features. For instance, some seed banks offer a seed comparison feature. Meanwhile, others will have a short quiz, which will help you decide the right marijuana seeds to pick.

Ordering Seeds

Like other online seed banks, you can order directly on the website. Itโ€™s a straightforward process. Choose the specific strain you would like to order. Pick a pack size, which can be 3, 5, 10, or 25 seeds, and choose the quantity. Click Add to Cart.

Once you are on your cart, you have the option to add a coupon code. There can be seasonal offers, including those that they might send to the email addresses of those who have signed up for the newsletter.

If you donโ€™t want to order online, for whatever reason, you can also order seeds by phone. This is one thing I have not tried personally. However, given the Pacific Seed Bank reviews regarding customer service, I would rather order online.

Online Resources for Growers

While itโ€™s a standard feature I also found in other seed banks, I want to highlight how there are growing resources available. These will provide valuable insights, especially for beginners. Youโ€™ll learn how to germinate seeds successfully. Thereโ€™s also a marijuana education section.

Payment Methods

Pacific Seed Bank offers different payment methods, although the options are fewer compared to their more established competitors. For instance, I Love Growing Marijuana and Herbies Seeds offer Bitcoin payments, which Pacific Seeds does not offer.

One of the stand-out methods is Pay by Mail, which can be done using a certified or cashierโ€™s check. If you opt for this method, youโ€™ll receive three free seeds as a bonus. Take note that Pacific Seed Bank does not accept personal and cash checks.

If you choose this payment method, make sure to wrap the check in a secure envelope. This will protect the check during shipping. Also, itโ€™s best if you have a tracking number, which makes it easy to monitor the status of the mail.

Pacific Seed Bank also accepts credit card payments, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Mesh is another payment method the seed bank supports. Once you click โ€œContinueโ€ when choosing Mesh, youโ€™ll be taken to a different page where you will use your account credentials to log in.

Lastly, Pacific Seed Bank also accepts Zelle, but this is exclusive to customers from the United States. The best thing about this method is it does not incur processing fees. Plus, because of instant processing, itโ€™s also the fastest way to receive your cannabis seeds.

Important Things to Note

One thing to note is that all currencies on the website are in US dollars. In addition, some orders will have duty and import taxes, depending on where you live. The buyer will shoulder these additional payments. You also have to pay for currency conversion or transaction fees.

Shipping

One of the strongest suits I would like to highlight in this Pacific Seed Bank review is its worldwide shipping.

Nonetheless, it does not mean that everyone can order. The customer is responsible for making sure that the order is in accordance with local laws. Pacific Seed Bank will not assume legal liability in case of breaches.

Aside from having global shipping, another notable benefit is that all orders will come with a tracking number. This way, youโ€™ll know where the seeds are, so you donโ€™t have to wait in vain.

Pacific Seed Bank tries its best to ship your seeds in perfect condition. However, if the seeds arrived in a quality you find unacceptable, get in touch with customer service.

Itโ€™s also good to know that P.O. Box shipping is allowed. Just make sure that you input the correct address. The seed bank can no longer make changes to the provided address once it starts processing your order.

Shipping Fees and Timelines

The shipping fee can vary depending on your location. More so, during peak times, the company does not guarantee the delivery time.

If youโ€™re from the United States, the shipping fee is $9.95 across all locations. Expect the delivery of your orders within five to seven days.

On the other hand, if youโ€™re from Europe and other regions, the shipping fee is $30 for Express Registered. Your orders will arrive within seven to 25 days.

The shipping fee is waived if your order is at least $500. In contrast, I Love Growing Marijuana (ILGM) offers free shipping on all orders without meeting a minimum amount.

Stealth Packaging

Pacific Seed Bank ships your seeds in discreet packaging, so you can expect the utmost privacy. All your orders will arrive in air-tight packages. It can also be padded, but you need to request such.

For orders outside the United States, you can be confident that your seeds will be in stealth packaging. This is free of charge. The package will not display the name of Pacific Seed Bank, as well as details about what it contains.

As a side note, it isnโ€™t only shipping that is discrete. Your credit card statement will not also show any indication that you ordered from a marijuana seed bank.ย

Alternatives

Honestly, Pacific Seed Bank is not on the top of my list when Iโ€™m ordering cannabis seeds. If youโ€™re looking for better alternatives, here are some options to consider:

  • I Love Growing Marijuana (ILGM): The reputation of this seed bank is unbeatable. Its greatest advantage over Pacific Seed Bank is that ILGM has free shipping on all orders. However, shipping is only available in the United States.
  • Herbies Seeds: Like Pacific Seeds, Herbies also ships worldwide. However, Herbies has a wider selection of cannabis strains. Not to mention, it has more promos, including free marijuana seeds for all orders.

Overall

As I have noted in this Pacific Seed Bank review, itโ€™s pretty decent overall, especially given the reasonable prices and a good selection of more than 150 strains. Nonetheless, it lags far behind the competition.

The company has its own poor business practices that make it an inferior option. There were several complaints regarding customer service, with many people highlighting how the response was slow. Also, shipping is free only when you order at least $500. The lack of attractive promotions can also be a deal-breaker for many people.
