Green Crush (Green Crack) Strain Review (48North)

green crush strain review 48north (info block)

For this cannabis strain review, I tried out some  Green Crush  (Green Crack)  made by  48North  and grown by  Delshen Therapeutics. My only other experience with 48North is trying out some of their Kosher Kush, which was an average strain at best, so I wasn’t sure what to expect here.

I was actually blown away by the quality; this was a great experience overall. Green Crush is a Sativa dominant cultivar that comes with ย THC amounts ranging from 19% to 26%; this specific batch came in atย  25% THC. Below, I break down every aspect of this excellent strain in detail.

  • Lineage: Green Crack x Unknown Indica Strain
  • Type: Sativa-dominant
  • Potency: 19-26% THC
  • Terpene Profile: Limonene, pinene, caryophyllene and nerolidol
  • Packaging Details: Packaged on 10/13/2020 and tested/reviewed on 11/04/2020, exactly 22 days later. Lot# GC1A200819F
  • Pricing Details: Purchased 3.5 grams for $32.50 at the SQDC in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. ($9.29/gram)

Appearance: 5/5

When it comes to bag appeal, visuals, moisture content, and just overall appearance, I had trouble finding something wrong hence the perfect score! Let’s talk nug size first, which I’m aware isn’t the most important for everybody, but it is to me. I got two big buds in the bag (1 was 2.36 grams, the other was just over 1 gram), instant bonus points for me.

When it comes to moisture content, it came in at 52% RH, which is completely fine. Visually, the big olive-green buds have navy spots and are covered by a thick sheet of amber trichomes and brown pistils. The trichomes are intact and beautiful (you can see the micro pic below) due to the recent packaging date and the bag instead of a plastic container.

Aroma: 3/5

Although slightly above average, the aroma on this Green Crush (or Green Crack, which sounds a little weird, to be honest) left me wanting a little more (as crack would? OK, I’m done with the crack puns).

There was a light tangy, citrusy scent coming out of the package as I opened up the seal, with hints of spunkiness floating around from one of its parent strains. The weirdness arises as the weed gets milled; you get a whiff of a floral Shishkaberry type of smell, which was pretty pleasant. I would guess that it’s the Nerolidol flexing its terpene muscle!

Flavor: 2/5

Unfortunately, this was my least favorite aspect of this entire Green Crush (Green Crack) strain review. The main issue was that everything felt somewhat muted; it’s like the terpenes got quiet during combustion. Just a slight hint of skunk was left on the palate on the exhale. The good part was the actual smoke; thick, white, and smooth.

Effects: 4.5/5

This is where this Green Crush takes the cake! A Sativa-dominant (I’ve read it’s 100% Sativa) that has 25% THC sounds like it’s right up my alley, and it was. This weed hits you like that first cup of coffee in the morning, that warm, fuzzy feeling.

If you want to get stuff done after smoking, you will LOVE this strain. It’s strong, and uplifting, and I felt like it really got me going; I could’ve done any productive task while being high as a kite! Smoke some green crush and get it done.

If you prefer relaxing vibes to enjoy the evening instead of energizing and focused โ€œhigh,โ€ you can try Whereโ€™s My Bike Strain.

Overall: 3.5/5

I would recommend this to both beginners and everyday users, and I will personally be getting some more of this. I found this whole experience to be quite enjoyable; I’ll be looking out for more of their strains in the future. The price point may be a little steep for some, but it’s still below $10/gram, which to me, is an OK value. Great job, 48North; keep them coming!

If you are looking for a cheaper option, you can check Jean-Guy Strain which costs $5.29/gram.

  1. You complained on the other one about the dryness and 50% moisture and then praise this one for the 52% moisture. Who cares about the numbers. Just feel it. If itโ€™s plush and sticky awesome. If itโ€™s plush and fluffy cool. But too bad itโ€™s not stickier. If itโ€™s crumbly and dry. Shit. Hope the terps are still in the middle. If itโ€™s smears?
