The bag appeal is impressive. After opening the package, I was instantly excited about what would come next.

They’re a bit sticky and the trichomes were immediately evident. The buds were dense, which looked quite inviting. It was resinous and sticky. Its trimmings were also nice, and I could say that the makers paid attention to its preparation. And best of all, they looked like a fresh batch.

As I opened the bag, a potent aroma lingered in the air. I’ve had a few flowers before that required a closer sniff to truly smell the potential. But with Gassius Clay, I did not have to do so. Even if it’s quite far from my nose, the aroma is incredible.

Upon smelling it closely, it was earthy and tropical. Thanks to the combination of cannabis terpenes in this strain, it was dank! After a while, I could also smell something sweet and something that somewhat reminded me of pine. The aroma is refreshing, setting the mood.

The flavor is as good as its smell! It was spicy and gassy, which is unique compared to other strains I have previously tried. The first taste was bold and peppery with a hint of musk, which fits caryophyllene. I also tasted citrus, a flavor often linked to limonene.

I have to be honest, this isn’t one of those flavors most people can smoke every day. It can be too strong, but if you’re an experienced smoker, it does the job. Beginners may find it overwhelming. If you’re new, take one small hit and wait before having more.

I didn’t have to wait long before realizing that Gassius Clay is an astounding strain. In almost an instant, I felt my eyes tingling. The sensation was also felt on my neck until it was apparent all over my body. I did not feel heavy. I was relaxed. It’s like I just want to lay on the couch forever! I’m not even exaggerating! Then I was euphoric but not hyper.

For me, it made for a relaxing and calming night. That said, I can’t recommend it as a treatment. A review of cannabis for people who have anxiety found the evidence is still limited, and THC can increase anxiety in some people.
