The first time I tried the 9 lb Hammer Strain, it felt like I was having a whiff of earth. The traces of earthiness were so obvious. If you love the spicy and fruity strains, the 9 lb Hammer is the perfect choice to relax after a long day or deal with chronic pains.

The 9lb Hammer Strain buds are a bushy, mossy green with purple-like trichomes on the leaves. As per usual, with top-notch nugs, the buds are sticky and have a gorgeous purple hue. In terms of size, four large, piney nugs and a couple of medium ones were in the bag.  

Overall, the 9lb Hammer Strain was visually appealing with its large, chunky, multicolored flowers.

A whiff of the 9lb Hammer strain’s flowers is of grape, lime, and some earthiness, which gives it a sweet and fruity scent. But don’t let the sweetness fool you. It’s intense, similar to incense, partly due to this strain’s strongly dominant indica terps.

The 9lb Hammer Strain’s flavor is just as intense as the aroma. You can easily taste the combination of berry, citrus, grape, and lime out-the-bag and on the first drag. It’s like you’re having a fruit punch or a mixed fruit juice. The smoke is smooth and buttery and a delight to inhale.

The 9 Pound Hammer strain has a hard-hitting buzz with predominantly chill effects. It’s best taken at night for safety and to take in its sedative, appetite-inducing, and sleepy aftereffects. While the body high is predominant, it also hits the mind with mild feelings of happiness.  

With the 9lb Hammer, I discovered less is more. Even in small doses, its famous “couch-lock” effect drains energy and will to carry out regular activities, leaving you in a dreamy, numb state. This strain is a no-brainer for consumers with chronic pain, stress, anxiety disorder, and insomnia. The high is intense and relaxing. I am head over heels for this strain, which may become my go-to for deep relaxation.
